Turn on the oven to 325°F and grease your loaf pan (8½ x 4½-inch).

In a big mixing bowl, stir the butter and honey together first. Then mix in the eggs, bananas, milk, and vanilla until it's all smooth.

Take another mixing bowl and combine the baking soda, salt, and flour by stirring them together.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry and gently stir until it all just comes together. Don't over-mix.

Transfer the batter into your greased loaf pan. Sprinkle on whichever toppings you like. If you're using banana slices, cut them lengthwise and lay them across the top (inside part facing up).

Bake for about 50-55 minutes. It’s done when a toothpick poked into the center comes out clean.

After baking, set the pan aside for 15 minutes to cool. Then take the bread out and let it cool completely on a wire rack for 30 minutes before slicing.
