Homemade Bubble Gum Treat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sweetening & Flavoring

01 - Add as much flavor oil as you like
02 - Splash on a bit of food coloring to your liking
03 - Toss in 0.5 grams citric acid
04 - Go with 24 grams gum powder
05 - Mix in 24 grams powdered sugar

→ Base Mixture

06 - Pour in 60 millilitres corn syrup
07 - Use 75 grams gum base

# Instructions:

01 - Just let your shaped gum chill for half an hour on the counter. It'll get nice and firm.
02 - Break up the dough into balls or strips. If you want a kick of sour, toss in the citric acid now.
03 - Bit by bit, work the powdered sugar in until the dough feels flexible but not sticky.
04 - Add your food coloring and flavor oil, and give it a solid mix so the color and taste are all through.
05 - Once the gum base is melted, pour in your corn syrup. Stir it up until it looks all the same.
06 - Toss your gum base in a bowl that’s good for the microwave. Warm it up in bursts of 30 seconds, stirring every time, until it's all melted.
