Homemade Cinnamon Toast Crunch (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
02 - 28 grams unsalted butter, melted
03 - 60 millilitres milk
04 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 50 grams granulated sugar
08 - 125 grams all-purpose flour

→ Topping

09 - 14 grams unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
11 - 25 grams granulated sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Grab your big bowl and toss in baking powder, salt, cinnamon, sugar, and flour. Mix it all up until it looks super even.
02 - Pour in vanilla, melted butter, and milk. Use a spatula and mix until you have a dough that sticks together.
03 - Turn your oven on to 175°C. Roll your dough out to about 3 millimetres thick between two pieces of parchment.
04 - Take off the top sheet of parchment. Cut the rolled dough into squares about 1.25 centimetres wide using a knife or pizza cutter. Move the whole thing onto a baking tray, keeping it on the parchment.
05 - Let the tray hang out in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes. When those little squares are crunchy and golden, you’re all set.
06 - While the cereal bakes, grab a tiny bowl and stir together cinnamon and sugar. Melt the butter in a different bowl.
07 - Once the squares are still warm but out of the oven, brush the tops with melted butter. Shake your sugar-cinnamon mix over everything.
08 - Pop all the cereal onto a rack to cool down. If any stick together, just break them apart. Eat now or stash in a sealed container for up to a week.

# Notes:

01 - Your cereal will get crunchier if you let it cool off totally before putting it away.
