Grilled Octopus Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Octopus Base

01 - Salt as needed
02 - 1 whole cleaned octopus, fresh or frozen

→ Flavoring Mix

03 - Juice from 2 tablespoons' worth of lemons
04 - A pinch of black pepper
05 - Minced garlic, 2 cloves
06 - Salt as desired
07 - Olive oil, around 3 tablespoons

# Instructions:

01 - Rinse the octopus under cool water, making sure to remove any leftover sand or ink from inside the body.
02 - In a pot of salted boiling water, simmer the octopus for about 30 minutes or until you can easily pierce it with a fork to confirm tenderness.
03 - Whisk together olive oil, garlic, some lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Add the cooked octopus to this marinade and let it absorb the flavors in the fridge for several hours or overnight.
04 - Turn your grill up to a high heat setting so it's ready for cooking.
05 - Take the marinated octopus and grill each side for 3-4 minutes, achieving a slightly crispy and smoky exterior without overcooking.

# Notes:

01 - Tenderness is key! Before marinating, ensure the octopus is soft and easy to pierce with a fork.
02 - For the best flavors, let the octopus sit in the marinade overnight.
