Easy Kafta Kebabs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Kafta Kebab Basics

01 - 600 grams lean ground beef
02 - 1 medium yellow onion, cut into chunks
03 - 1 teaspoon salt
04 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
05 - ⅛ teaspoon cayenne, adjust to your liking
06 - 1 cup fresh parsley, rinsed and dried
07 - ¼ teaspoon seven spice blend (or a mix of spices)

# Instructions:

01 - Pop the onion chunks and parsley into your food processor. Pulse until everything's really fine.
02 - Drop the ground meat into a big bowl. Toss in the processed parsley and onion along with your spices. Use your hands to mash them all together until mixed well.
03 - Grab some of the mixture and press it around a skewer with your hands. Aim for kebabs about 1–1.5 inches thick.
04 - Turn your gas grill to medium-high and oil the grates. Using charcoal? Get it going the way you like.
05 - Lay your skewers on the grill. Let one side cook for around 4 minutes before turning them over. Cook the other side for 4 minutes or until done.
06 - Serve those kebabs right away while they're warm.

# Notes:

01 - Planning to use wooden skewers? Soak them in water for half an hour before grilling to keep them from burning.
02 - Can't find seven spice? Swap with some allspice as a quick alternative.
03 - Don’t feel like skewers? Form the kafta into burger patties or small ovals.
04 - Prefer baking? Heat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and bake them for about 15–20 minutes till they're done.
05 - Any leftovers? Fridge them for 3–4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight and reheat before eating.
