Miso Green Beans Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sauce mix

01 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil
02 - 2 teaspoons agave syrup or maple syrup
03 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
04 - 1 tablespoon white miso paste

→ Green beans

05 - 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted
06 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 2 teaspoons neutral oil or avocado oil for high heat
08 - 1 pound fresh green beans

# Instructions:

01 - Combine soy sauce, maple or agave syrup, miso, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and set aside.
02 - Snip off the ends of the beans. Slice any large ones in half, preferably at an angle for a nice look.
03 - Place a large skillet or wok on medium-high heat. Add avocado oil and wait a bit before cooking.
04 - Toss the green beans into the heated skillet, ensuring they’re coated in the oil. Spread them out and cook for 3-5 minutes, flipping them around every now and then, until they develop some char spots and stab easily with a fork.
05 - Mix in the minced garlic and stir quickly for about half a minute. Be careful not to let it burn.
06 - Drizzle the sauce over the beans, sprinkle the sesame seeds on top, and give everything a good toss. Turn off the heat and serve while warm.

# Notes:

01 - If you’re gluten-free, pick tamari or look for gluten-safe miso options.
02 - Coconut or liquid aminos can replace soy for a soy-free alternative.
