Once the apple chips are cool to the touch, drop them into a jar with a lid or any container that seals. They'll keep good for up to 4 days.

Slide the trays into your heated oven. Let the apples bake for about 2 or 3 hours till they dry out but haven’t turned totally crisp. If you’re using more than one tray, switch their places around halfway for even drying.

Set parchment on your baking tray or give it a quick spray with oil. Spread the apple slices out flat, making sure none lay on top of each other. If you’ve got extra, grab another tray.

Toss your cored apple slices into a big bowl. Add sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the apples. Use your hands or a spoon to mix everything until each slice looks coated.

Crank your oven to 200°F (that’s about 95°C) to get it ready.
