Effortless Sweet Onion Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 6 g mustard powder
02 - 22 ml red wine vinegar
03 - 200 g granulated sugar
04 - 8 g cornstarch
05 - 120 ml water
06 - 90 ml white vinegar
07 - 7 g freshly grated onion
08 - 12 g Dijon mustard

→ Seasonings

09 - 0.5 g ground black pepper
10 - 2 g onion powder
11 - 0.5 g garlic powder
12 - 2.5 g salt
13 - 0.5 g celery seed
14 - 0.5 g smoked paprika
15 - 2.5 ml sesame oil
16 - 4 g poppy seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Take the pan off the stove and wait for your sauce to cool down all the way. Once it's not hot anymore, pour into a container with a lid. Pop it in the fridge, will keep for a week.
02 - Turn down the heat and keep whisking for another 5 minutes. Don’t stop stirring till it gets thicker.
03 - Whisk while heating the pan up to a gentle bubble. Keep boiling (and never stop stirring) for 5 minutes so it doesn’t stick.
04 - Toss all your measured stuff in a saucepan that’s medium-sized.

# Notes:

01 - Dial back the sugar if you want it less sweet or swap in something else if that’s your thing.
02 - Awesome tossed with salad or as a marinade for meats and veggies.
03 - This sauce gets thicker as it cools off.
