# What You'll Need:

→ Beef and Seasonings

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
03 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
05 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup
06 - Salt, to taste

→ Quesadilla Fillings

07 - 4 large tortillas
08 - 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Monterey Jack)
09 - 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

→ Optional Toppings

10 - Diced tomatoes
11 - Pickles
12 - Shredded lettuce
13 - Extra maple syrup for drizzling

# Let's Cook!:

01 - In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat. Add maple syrup, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir to combine, then remove from heat and set aside.
02 - Lay out the tortillas. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on one half of each tortilla. Top with the cooked beef mixture and crumbled bacon. Add the remaining cheese on top.
03 - Fold each tortilla in half to cover the filling. Heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each quesadilla for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is golden brown.
04 - Slice the quesadillas into wedges and serve warm. Drizzle with extra maple syrup and top with diced tomatoes, pickles, or shredded lettuce if desired.

# Cook's Notes:

01 - Add extra maple syrup to the beef or inside the quesadilla before folding for more maple flavor.
02 - Use any perfectly melted cheese like mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a gooey texture.
03 - Cook the quesadillas on medium-low heat to ensure the cheese melts completely without burning.
