Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwich (Print Version)

01 - 4 oz cream cheese, brought to room temperature
02 - 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, cut into slices
03 - 8 pieces of brioche or challah bread
04 - 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus extra for sprinkling)
05 - 1/4 cup strawberry jam
06 - 2 eggs
07 - 3 tbsp milk
08 - 2 tbsp butter (for cooking)

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together the powdered sugar and cream cheese in a small dish until it's smooth and fluffy.
02 - Take four slices of bread and spread the cream cheese mixture on one side of each. Arrange the strawberry slices on top and add a dollop of jam. Place the remaining bread on top to finish the sandwiches.
03 - Crack the eggs into a shallow bowl, pour in the milk, and whisk until well combined.
04 - Dip both sides of each sandwich into the egg wash, ensuring they're well coated.
05 - Set a skillet on medium heat and melt 1 tbsp of butter. Fry the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes per side, flipping when they're golden.
06 - Transfer the sandwiches to a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and enjoy.

01 - Want some crunch? Mix chopped nuts like pecans or almonds into the cream cheese filling.
