Switch your oven to 200°C and let it heat up.

Chop pears in half, dig out the core—leave the peels on.

Drop butter into a heavy oven-safe skillet and melt over medium heat.

Arrange pears cut side down and let them cook for about 2 minutes.

Move the whole pan into the hot oven and roast the pears for 20 minutes.

Flip pears over, pour balsamic vinegar across, bake 5 more minutes.

Take the pan out and give each pear a good honey drizzle. Let them chill a bit before you eat.
