Switch on the broiler and position your oven rack close to the top.

Cut a lengthwise slit into each date and carefully remove the seed. Add mascarpone cheese into the opening and top with chopped pecans.

Line a baking sheet, lay the stuffed dates on it, and drizzle with maple syrup.

Broil the dates for about 3 minutes, keeping a close eye so they don’t scorch.

Give the dates a few minutes to slightly cool before enjoying them warm or at room temp.
